I have over 40 years of agricultural experience, including farming, logging, and running heavy equipment. The older the boy, the more expensive is his toys.
I became interested in appraising equipment and livestock several years ago. I attended several classes including course work on appraisals and techniques in Reno, Nevada. I have completed many appraisals including antique tractors, small equipment, and farm equipment; John Deere, Case IH, Kubota, AGCO, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Cat, to name a few. I use Iron Solutions Real-Time Guides, Green Machine, Fast Line, Green Magazine, and Hot Line Farm Equipment Guide. These are like the blue books for equipment. There are internet auctions, real auctions, and internet listings for specific areas of the country as far as pricing goes.
I am a lifetime member of the AMERICAN SOCIETY OF FARM EQUIPMENT APPRAISERS and the INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF LIVESTOCK APPRAISERS.
Appraisals are needed for estate planning, tax purposes, and going out of business sales. I do appraisals in western Oregon, Eastern Oregon, and Southern Oregon. I will help you determine the "fair market value of your equipment." My services go into more detail than a typical "blue book". I am here to serve you in all your equipment appraisal needs.
I also appraise livestock. Livestock prices can be volatile depending on current market conditions. Auctions, private sales, and current trends all aid in reaching a "fair market value". I appraise all livestock except for horses.
I do appraisals in person, via internet, or by mail. An appraisal in person is the best, to get a more current view of the equipment or animals.
